personalized learning experience
Our instructors tailor their teaching styles and lesson materials to the specific goals of each individual student. At Snake River Strings Co., we are confident that we have an instructor for every personality type, learning ability, and goal…big or small! What we know for certain is that learning an instrument isn’t always easy…but music is for everyone. Let us find the perfect fit for you!
We don’t focus on one style, forcing someone to learn only classical or only country. We embrace any and all styles of music throughout the world! Some of our concerts in the past have included the following styles of music: Old-time Fiddle, 1920’s music, Jazz, Country, Bluegrass, Rock N’ Roll, Celtic Fiddle, Electronic Dance Music, and more.
Studio Classes
Music is a culture and a shared experience. Some of the funnest and most rewarding experiences with music can be when you are playing together with other musicians! In just private lessons alone, students miss out on this opportunity to build teamwork, drive, community, and the ability to play with others. That’s why we hold monthly studio classes in addition to our private lessons so that students can get the full experience, and experience the FUN of becoming a musician.
Inspiring Instructors
At Snake River Strings Co. we pride ourselves in seeking out and hiring a versatile team of exceptionally skilled and passionate instructors. Our instructors collaborate together to bring the best teaching strategies to every lesson. They continue their professional development, but most importantly build lasting relationships with their students.
Our team holds over 100+ years of combined teaching experience, with multiple Music, Education, Psychology degrees, as well as teacher certifications through programs such as: Suzuki, Every Child Can, Let’s Play Music, Music Mind Games, and more.
Some of our talented instructors include former Hollywood Cinematic Orchestra musicians, Distinguished Young Women state and national talent winners, National Champion Fiddlers, Nashville recording artists, and more!
Awesome Performance Opportunities
At Snake River Strings Co. we recognize that one of the most rewarding aspects of becoming a musician is being able to perform. With that, we also know that many aspiring musicians struggle to ever feel comfortable up on stage because of the anxiety that often comes along with it. At Snake River Strings Co. we are passionate about giving our students ample opportunities where they can perform in a fun, safe, and uplifting atmosphere.
At Snake River Strings Co. we are committed to breaking down the stereotype of what has traditionally been known as boring recitals. We pull out all of the stops with things such as fog machines, strobe lights, photographers, videographers, trophies, awards, prize money, giveaways, and more.
Our hope is that every performance creates an experience and a memory each student will never forget! As they continue in their learning journey, they’ll never forget how awesome they felt on stage, how good it felt to have your hard work and practice time pay off, working together as a team, and helping life the spirits of those watching. Also, not to mention having that special person in the audience cheering them on!
Our performances include 3 formal recitals a year! A festival competition in the spring, an open mic in the park at the end of summer, and a combined themed concert in the fall. In addition we offer multiple optional performances opportunities throughout the year including: parades, fairs, community events, workshops, and more.
We have a student and parent portal on our website that allows you 24/7 access to many resources. Students can log their practice, you can view attendance, upcoming lessons, give notice if you’ll be gone, schedule makeup lessons, email your teacher for help, view lesson notes, view invoices/receipts, and more.
We understand that you probably have a busy schedule! Because of that this same system also sends automated email reminders 24 hrs before your lesson, and a text reminder 1 hr before any scheduled lesson to help you keep track.

creative atmosphere
Students, and teachers, are more productive and attentive when there is a professional space set aside for lessons (rather than a living room). Students know it’s time to focus and improve, but have fun too! At our studio we have…
Waiting areas with a toy box, phone chargers, and parent reading library.
Our facilities are equipped with pianos, amps, microphones, tvs, and more.

Seasonally we have large studio practice challenges between teachers and students at our school! This is a fun chance for students to compete to earn grand prizes.
Each month we feature a student that has gone above and beyond as our student of the month! Those students recieve a special trophy and social media shoutout.
