Dallin Polatis
Dallin takes guitar lessons in Blackfoot Idaho. He is a great student! Watch this video and I think you’ll see why. It’s great to know that our students are spreading joy in the world with music.
TEssa Dalton
Tessa is now a student studying Commercial Music at Belmont in Nashville, TN with fiddle as her main instrument. She is a multi-instrumentalist and began studying with Snake River Strings in 2011. She started out taking Fiddle and Violin lessons in Ammon from Shelby, and followed her as she opened up her lessons in Blackfoot and Pocatello. Shelby was honored to write Tessa letters of recommendation for many of the top schools in the United States. Tessa got accepted and offered scholarships at USC Thornton School of Music, Belmont School of Music, and Berklee College of Music in Boston.
Gracie Packer
Gracie began as a student of Snake River Strings Co., taking violin lessons and fiddle lessons in Blackfoot and soon became a teacher! She won her local DYW competition, then went on to get 1st alternate at the State competition, winning overall talent as well. She is currently studying violin and music education at Brigham Young University, Idaho. We are lucky that she still comes to teach here! She teaches violin lessons in Blackfoot and Fiddle lessons in Blackfoot.
Chase Andersen
Chase is a 11 year old guitar student at Snake River Strings Co.! He takes guitar lessons in Blackfoot. His teacher has been talking with his students about the importance of listening to music. Not just to the songs they’re learning, but to all different kinds of music (it’s surprising how many kids say they don’t listen to music!) Listening for enjoyment, listening to be inquisitive and hear some of the techniques they’ve been learning about too.
He has given his students a challenge to listen to new music each week, and Chase came to his lesson this week having learned this new song completely by ear!!! Way to rise to the challenge Chase!! How awesome and impressive is this?!
Edit: Jayden told Chase to listen to 5 new songs last week, he thought he meant LEARN 5 new songs!!! So he learned 5 new songs over the week. Even better!
